DESCRIPTION:
shinnai has discovered a vulnerability in PowerPoint Viewer OCX,
which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's
system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the
PowerPoint Viewer ActiveX control (PowerPointViewer.ocx). This can be
exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via an overly long
argument passed to certain methods (e.g. "HttpDownloadFile()" or
"OpenWebFile()").

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code when a
user visits a malicious website.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 3.1.0.3. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Set the kill-bit for the affected ActiveX control.
