The goal of the project is to create a commercial-quality analyzer for Unix and to give Ethereal features that are missing from closed-source sniffers. NCP type 0x2222 packet type support was added to the randpkt utility, and a script to recreate packets from core dumps (pkt-from-core.py) was added to the source distribution.
