DESCRIPTION:
Two vulnerabilities have been reported in IBM System Storage
products, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct
cross-site scripting and SQL injection attacks.

1) Input passed via the "updateRegn" parameter to
SoftwareRegistration.do is not properly sanitised before being
returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML
and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected
site.

2) Input passed via the "selectedModuleOnly" parameter to
ModuleServlet.do is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL
queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting
arbitrary SQL code.

The vulnerabilities are reported in IBM System Storage DS Storage
Manager versions prior to 10.83.xx.18.

SOLUTION:
Update IBM System Storage DS Storage Manager to version 10.83.xx.18
or later.
