DESCRIPTION:
AutoSec Tools has discovered two vulnerabilities in NoticeBoardPro,
which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection
attacks and compromise a vulnerable system.
1) Input passed via the "userID" parameter to deleteItem3.php is not
properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires that
"magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.
2) The editItem1.php script does not properly validate uploaded
files, which can be exploited to e.g. execute arbitrary PHP code by
uploading a PHP file.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.0. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
Restrict access to the photos directory (e.g. via .htaccess).
