DESCRIPTION:
Core Security Technologies has reported a vulnerability in Sun
GlassFish Enterprise Server, which can be exploited by malicious
people to bypass certain security restrictions.

The vulnerability is caused due to the administration console
allowing unauthenticated access via the HTTP TRACE method. This can
be exploited to bypass the authentication mechanism and gain access
to certain information e.g. log viewer or JDBC connection pool
properties.

The vulnerability is reported in the following products:
* Sun GlassFish Enterprise Server 2.1.1
* Sun GlassFish Enterprise Server 3.0.1

SOLUTION:
Update to version 3.1. A fix for the 2.x branch is scheduled for July
2011.
