TITLE:
Wing FTP Server Script Insertion and Denial of Service

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA37899

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/37899/

DESCRIPTION:
Ams has reported two vulnerabilities in Wing FTP Server, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct script insertion attacks or
cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

1) Input passed via FTP commands is not properly sanitised before
being used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script
code, which is executed in an administrator's browser session in
context of an affected site when FTP log data is viewed.

2) An error when running on Linux platforms can be exploited to crash
an affected server via an overly long FTP command.

The vulnerabilities are reported in versions prior to 3.2.8.

SOLUTION:
Update to version 3.2.8.
