SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:

CRITICAL:
Moderately critical

IMPACT:
Cross Site Scripting, Manipulation of data

WHERE:

SOFTWARE:
Calendar Express 2.x
http://secunia.com/product/5508/

DESCRIPTION:
Two vulnerabilities have been reported in Calendar Express, which can
be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection or
cross-site scripting attacks.

1) Input passed to the "cid" parameter in several scripts (e.g.
"month.php") isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL
query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting
arbitrary SQL code.

2) Input passed to the "allwords" parameter in 'search.php" isn't
properly sanitised before being returned to users. This can be
exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in context of a vulnerable site.

The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 2.0. Other versions
may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
