DESCRIPTION:
A security issue and a vulnerability have been reported in
BreakingPoint Storm CTM, which can be exploited by malicious people
to disclose certain sensitive information.
1) An error due to improper checking for authentication and
authorisation in the /gwt/BugReport script can be exploited to
retrieve a diagnostic report of the systems configuration.
2) An error exists due to Control Center GUI administrative client
transmitting credentials to the server in plaintext. This can be
exploited to intercept the credentials by e.g sniffing network
traffic or via a Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attack.
The security issue and the vulnerability are reported in
BreakingPoint Storm CTM version 2.1.0.0 build 71254. Other versions
may also be affected.
