DESCRIPTION:
High-Tech Bridge SA has discovered multiple vulnerabilities in
OrangeHRM, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct SQL
injection attacks and by malicious people to conduct cross-site
scripting attacks.
1) Input passed via the "hspSummaryId" parameter to
plugins/ajaxCalls/haltResumeHsp.php (when "newHspStatus" and "empId"
are set) is not properly sanitised within the "updateStatus()"
function in lib/models/benefits/Hsp.php before being used in a SQL
query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting
arbitrary SQL code.
2) Input passed to the "newHspStatus" parameter in
plugins/ajaxCalls/haltResumeHsp.php (when "hspSummaryId" and "empId"
are set), "sortOrder1" parameter in templates/hrfunct/emppop.php
(when "reqcode" is set), and "uri" parameter to index.php is not
properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be
exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 2.6.12.1. Prior versions
may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 2.7.
