DESCRIPTION:
Mavituna Security has discovered two vulnerabilities, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and SQL
injection attacks.
1) Input passed via the "tag" parameter to index.php (when "action"
is set to "showall_by_tags") is not properly sanitised in the
"showall_by_tags()" function in
framework/core/controllers/expController.php before being returned to
the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script
code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
2) Input passed via the "section" parameter to index.php is not
properly sanitised in the "getSection()" function in
framework/core/subsystems/expRouter.php before being used in SQL
queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting
arbitrary SQL code.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 2.0.5. Prior versions
may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 2.0.6.
