DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Proficy Historian, which can be
exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified error in the Data
Archiver service (ihDataArchiver.exe and ihDataArchiver_x64.exe) when
processing certain network messages. This can be exploited to corrupt
memory via a specially crafted packet sent to TCP port 14000.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is reported in the following products:
* Proficy Historian versions 4.5 and prior.
* Proficy HMI/SCADA CIMPLICITY version 8.2.
* Proficy HMI/SCADA iFIX versions 5.0, 5.1, and 5.5.
