DESCRIPTION:
Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in SonicWALL AntiSpam &
EMail Security, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct
script insertion attacks and by malicious people to conduct
cross-site scripting attacks.
1) Input passed via the "selectedUser" parameter to
mgmtuser_delegate.html when assigning a delegate is not properly
sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to insert
arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious
data is being viewed.
2) Input passed to the "hostname" parameter in
reports_mta_queue_status.html and "direction" parameter in
msg_viewer_user_mail.html is not properly sanitised before being
returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML
and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected
site.
The vulnerabilities are reported in versions v7.3.1 and 7.3.4.5725.
Other versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Filter malicious characters and character sequences using a proxy.
