As you may have heard on the news, there is a new virus called VBS/LOVELETTER that is 

infecting computers all over the world. This electronic alert is being sent to inform you 

that myCIO.com is issuing a HIGH RISK OUTBREAK ALERT for this virus and is making available 

remediation tools at our website.

If you are a VirusScan ASaP subscriber, you are already protected. As a safety measure, 

please ask your endusers to check for updates by right-clicking on the myCIO icon in the 

toolbar and select the "Check for Updates" option. myCIO will continue to monitor the 

situation and issue additional updates as required.

LOVESCAN ASAP
SERVER PROTECTION:  The I Love You virus is currently infecting millions of messages stored 

in your Exchange E-mail servers.  These two utilitilites are the first and only solutions to 

clean your Exchange servers.
LoveScan On-line ( http://www.mycio.com/asp_subscribe/ExchangeScan.asp ) is an on-line 

service that automatically scans your Exchange e-mail servers for infection with the "I Love 

You" virus.  This web-based application will detect and remove the VBS/LOVELETTER worm from 

the message information store and remove infected messages. It will work even if you have 

chosen to stop your MTA.To use this service, you must initiate the scan from the Exchange 

server your wish to dis-infect.  To run the scan, simply push the "Scan Now" button.  

LoveScan DownLoad( http://www.mycio.com/asp_subscribe/ExchangeScan.asp ) is a downloadable 

utility that you can run on your exchange message stores e-mails to to detect and remove  

VBS/LOVELETTER worm.  To use this downloadable utlitiy, Unzip this file into a local 

directory. Log in on your exchange server as an administrator and launch the command line 

utility, exchscan.exe. This will scan all mailboxes in the message information store and 

remove infected messages.
